Geography & Science Trip
The whole school went to Manch Woods for a Geography & Science trip. They did a mini-beast hunt, animal hunt and pond dip. It was great fun.

Orienteering
On Thursday 4th of April the whole school travelled to the Long Strand for an orienteering day out. The senior side of the school completed a trail through the woods, while the junior side played map games on the beach. Everyone then took part in an orienteering competition in the dunes and we all returned to the Fish Basket for some delicious refreshments. It was a great day out!
Darrara Agricultural College
The whole school visited Darrara Agricultural College to see what life on the farm is like during springtime. Everyone had an enjoyable day. Thanks so much to Karen Lehane for organising the trip. e
Turning on of the Christmas lights in the Cork County Hall
County Mayor Declan Hurley invited our whole school to attend the turning on of the Christmas lights in the Cork County Hall on Wednesday 6th December. We had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols on this special day. Thank you to Declan for this honour as a day of enjoyment was had by all.
Tag rugby
The 4th-6th class played tag rugby in Dunmanway rugby pitch. Thanks to Dunmanway rugby club for hosting the fabulous event! Great fun had by all!!
Trip to Kilmichael Ambush site
The 3rd to 6th class went to the ambush site in Kilmichael on Monday 6th March with Charles Mccarthy & Conor O Driscoll. They visited the monument and the house where the boys went after the ambush. They saw the bog where 3 of the boys of Kilmichael were temporarily buried- today there is a cross standing in the bog.
A big thank you to Charles, Conor and Claire O Brien for bringing the children & for their wealth of knowledge!!
Christmas Concert 2016
What a fabulous night we had on Thursday 15th December 2016 in Ballinacarriga Hall. The Junior & Senior Infants recreated the Nativity for us to start the night and after that all the children from Ballinacarriga NS took part in the Musical Aladdin! There were smiles all round and a good time was had by all! The night was finished off with some festive tunes! Thanks to all the children who played their tin whistles, guitars & accordions!
