1916 Proclamation Day
There was a special ceremony of music, dance and drama to celebrate the 1916 Proclamation followed by the raising of our National Flag. A very enjoyable day was had by all !

Congratulations to the boys and girls of 5th and 6th class who received the sacrament of Confirmation on Monday 14th March.
Christmas Carol Service
The Christmas Carol Service took place in Ballinacarriga church on Thursday 17th December at 7.30pm. A very enjoyable night was had by all.

Pantomime “Cinderella’s Christmas”
The whole school attended a pantomime “Cinderella’s Christmas” at the Briary Gap Theatre in Macroom on Tuesday 1st December. Everybody had a very enjoyable day !
Junior Infant Enrolment Day
Parents and Guardians wishing to enrol their children in Ballinacarriga National School for the 2014/2015 school year are welcome to attend our Infant Enrolment Day, which is being held on Tuesday, May 20th between 1.50 and 2.50pm. Bring your child along on the day to meet his or her future classmates, while parents have the chance to meet other new parents and parents who have children already attending the school. If you are unable to attend on May 20th simply call the school (023 8845944) on a Tuesday or a Thursday to arrange an alternate appointment.

Christmas Concert 2013
This year we decided to hold a Christmas Carol Service and Nativity in the Church. It was a lovely musical evening during which the children performed a wide variety of Carols, played their tin whistles and other musical instruments and the Junior and Senior Infants performed a Nativity play. The service was enjoyed by all, well done to everyone who took part.

Science Exhibition
This year in Ballinacarriga NS we have been working hard to achieve the Discover Primary Science and Maths award. As part of this we held a Science Exhibition, which involved the children setting up some of the experiments they carried out over the year and demonstrating and explaining these to all of our visitors. The day was a great success and we hope that everybody who visited us learned something new.

Ballinacarriga NS want to wish the Cork Ladies Football team the very best of luck on Sunday 7th of October in the All-Ireland football final. Everyone had something red on in school today, Fri 5th October, to show our support.
UCC
3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class enjoyed a visit to UCC on Monday 23rd of April. Here they received a tour of the college including the Aula Maxima and the Honan Chapel. President Donnacha kept a close eye on everyone during the tour!!
Storytelling
On the 23rd of March the six Fourth class pupils read stories to the Junior Infants class. All pupils really enjoyed the experience and we have decided to do this on a monthly basis.
Seachtain na Gaeilge
Ghlac na páistí páirt i seachtain na gaeilge. Rinne rang a haon drámaíocht beag ‘An Tornapa Mór’. Rinne rang ceathair/cúig/sé drámaíocht difriúil as Bun go Barr.
