Walkability Survey
The Green Schools Committee had the pleasure of working with Catherine Russell on Monday, to carry out a walk-ability survey around our school. The children each had different jobs and worked in groups to assess how safe it would be to walk to our school, from two different locations. Not only were the children out getting active, they were also using their measuring skills they had learn in class, to measure footpaths and the different distances around the school, using a trundle wheel and meter stick. It is great to see how the Green Schools Committee and the Active Schools Committee can work together to make our school a healthier environment.

Meet our Active Schools Committee
Each year the Active Schools Committee members are going to change but we are very excited to introduce you to our Active School Committee for 2016/2017. The Active Schools Committee consists of pupils from first to sixth class and the pupils will have a big role to play to ensure the whole school is getting more active, more often!
P.E.: Hurling!
We thoroughly enjoyed our past six weeks of hurling training with Tony Walsh. We learnt lots of new skills and had a great time taking part in the league.
We are looking forward to focusing on football in Spring, with Tony again. Thank you Tony!
